The Grange Residential Home has a strong tradition of providing high quality of care. A large number of our service users have come to us over that time by recommendations. Below is a representation of their comments.

My mother was admitted to the Grange Care Home as an emergency placement as her dementia had become too difficult to manage at home. The staff at the Grange treated my mother with great care and dignity. They took every care to manage her challenging behaviour, trying to distract her with other activities such as walking around the room. The kindness and personal interest of the carers is second to none.

I am writing this testimonial to thank all the staff at The Grange for the exemplary care they gave to my mother over the last 14 months of her life. Mum was not the easiest of residents in the early days but she was always treated with dignity, care and respect. The food cooked on the premises was the lasting joy and pleasure for mum and the meals were always delicious and nutritious. Nothing was too much trouble for Karen and her staff and mum regarded them as part of her extended family and for my sister and I this made the last few months easier for us, knowing how much and how well she was cared for. I am sure that it was only the amazing care given to mum that allowed us to share the last few peaceful weeks with her. Mum was always kept clean, warm and safe and for this I cannot praise the Grange highly enough and whenever we visited we were always made to feel welcome. We were kept well informed about mum’s health issues and all the appropriate actions were taken at all times and when any questions were asked they were always answered promptly and efficiently. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Grange for residential care of any relative and I shall always be grateful for the peace of mind the staff gave me when mum was in their professional care.

I can honestly say the care and kindness show to my Mum over the last year has been exemplary. It was obvious to us that she saw many of the staff as family and knew in her last months and days that she would be looked after by people who were not just doing a job but genuinely liked her and cared for her unconditionally with dignity and respect. My wife who has vascular dementia has been in the Grange for nearly two years and during this time has been very well looked after. Both the Management and Staff have a very caring and positive attitude and she could not be in a better place. Everyone is so kind and caring and I am reassured that she is in such a safe environment. Nothing is too much trouble and all her needs are catered for.
