Ellie

Hi! I’m Ellie and I am the deputy manager at The Grange.

I joined the team in March 2020 with 17 years of social care experience, the majority of which being in residential homes or domiciliary care and within various roles. I starting as a young and somewhat wet behind the ears support worker! I worked hard and underwent a host of training to become skilled and knowledgeable of the social care sector and that is how I have come to be in my current role, sharing that knowledge with our friendly, hardworking and dedicated staff. Besides being a football mum to 2 beautiful girls, spending time with family and friends and enjoying sunny and snowy holidays, there is nothing more important to me than seeing our service users happy and enjoying their lives at The Grange. This is why person centred, high quality care is at the forefront of everything we do, creating a real home from home environment.

My name is Shirley Dagley and I have been at The Grange since 2021.

It is a pleasure to be the activities coordinator. With a heart dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents, I am committed to creating a vibrant and fulfilling activity program that caters to their unique needs and interests. My approach to activities coordination is rooted in compassion, respect, and a keen understanding of the unique preferences of each individual under our care. I am committed to fostering a sense of community and joy through events that not only entertain but also promote socialisation and mental stimulation. I am very passionate about my job and my first priority is to make all residents feel at home.
We have a range of daily activities which include exercise, singing, bingo, arts & crafts. We also have special events celebrating religious and social occasions regularly throughout the year as well as arranging day trips for residents to places of interest.
